Now we are on the PCT headed west and north. It was very, very windy. Mats is using my windbreaker (a little roomy for him!).

Looking down behind Mats is Kennedy lake - this valley obviously leads to Kennedy Meadows. Consider it - there is a 2700 feet (820m) drop behind him!
