Here we stand in the cleft through which the Pacific Crest Trail emerges into this valley. The lake in the far distance is Leavitt lake, the location of our camp. A little closer is Koening lake - actually a group of lakes. Closer yet is a little pond that's quite a bit higher than Koening. Latopie lake is to the right - not visible in this picture.
